Designed to Move.

Even before I knew what I wanted to be, I knew I was obsessed with stories. Not just books or films, but the way a well-designed room told stories by making you feel something, the way a magazine spread could stop time, the way a great ad could make you want a life you'd never considered. I wanted to tell stories and make them look good. I wanted to build and design worlds through visual storytelling.

So naturally, I thought I was going to be Anna Wintour the second I earned my BFA. Or a sharp creative director in the corner office pitching impossible ideas and making them possible. Or Emily in Paris, but make her a creative director and give her actual deadlines...and keep the couture, oui.

I started at Team One, fell in love with the craft, and decided I wanted to be on the inside. So I went inside. Inside Sony Pictures. Then inside Disney.

Turns out, I liked it there. Like, 14 years on-the-inside-liked-it-there.

I grew into a product builder and creative leader, living at the intersection of art and technology, speaking fluently with engineers, product teams, and C-suites. I could talk the tech. But my native tongue was always design.

I pitched Genie+, a Machine Learning-powered platform that transformed how millions of people experience the parks.

I was building award-winning AR experiences before most brands had a mobile strategy, and award-winning apps before anyone called them that. (If only the Webby Awards had a red carpet moment…my outfit would have ate, that Law Roach would finally agree to work with me.) Working in UX when the role was still called "webmaster." And in 2015 I launched Pixels in Play, a design podcast recorded at TuneIn studios, back when Serial was the only proof this format could work. I wasn't consistent enough to build an audience back then, but I was just curious enough to know it mattered. A 2.0 is probably overdue. Stay tuned...

In 2024 I founded Pitch Daydream, a creative design studio selected for the USC Business Incubator Accelerator. And I'm in pre-launch for my namesake label, A. Talib Atelier, a luxury streetwear brand built on the philosophy of chess, where my obsession with beauty, culture, and intentional design lives without compromise.

At my core I'm an artist. I care about beauty, precision, and brands that look as good as they perform. I believe design is a business strategy and great aesthetics are never just decorative.

I spent years moving between lanes. It took a while to stop choosing and start integrating. Now everything is in the same room. The strategy and the making. The brand and the product. The artist and the executive. It turns out clarity feels a lot like purpose, and I'm still obsessed with storytelling.

And I'd love to connect if you are too.
